Results Update!: 2011 Blue Hills Classic RR
I've let this go too long without any information. The latest and greatest results are from the May 1, 2011 edition of the Blue Hills Road Race, wherein Kyle Gates finished 13th and Matt Kressy won the field sprint for 6th place. 75 riders took start in the 40+ event. Much of our team missed registration when the race unexpectedly filled up before we could register..

WeeBIKE-Hasyun Racing on the new SST 1.0

The team was sized up for the new FUJI team bikes on Saturday at Quad Cycles. We will be racing on the 2011 FUJI SST 1.0 which weighs a whopping 15.1 pounds equipped with carbon wheels and Shimano Dura Ace grouppo.. We're very impressed by the quality of this bike and encourage you to find your nearest dealer and take one for a test ride. All cables are internally routed for a very clean and aero finish. There is an I-Beam rib (RIB-Tech) inside of the high modulus D6 carbon frameset and fork tubes. It's the top shelf bike you have been looking for, available in three different price points: 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0- the most affordable of which is light enough and stiff enough to use in an NRC criterium, all day long. If you're in the Boston area, please make a visit to Rustem at Quad Cycles in Arlington. They have the Fujis and the Hasyun merino wool base layers for you to check out and they will help you make the correct buying decision.
Hasyun merino wool base layers are now also stocked at Providence Bicycle. Please pay them a visit when you're in the Ocean State.

Team Announcement!
Hello racing fans! It's been an interesting (albeit confusing) year of transition for M1 Racing. We ended a relationship with a title sponsor and when the money ran out, a bunch of us migrated over to Team Racemenu/mix1, which unfortunately left a bunch of riders twisting in the wind. This is not something I'm pleased with and hopefully we will make this right in the upcoming cross season and 2011 and beyond. The good news is that some new sponsors are in place as well as some old ones. The bad news is that this will require some new apparel, which is always expensive. We will be sticking with Pactimo though, the extra cost is worth it. Now the question is going to be: who is left on M1 Racing? and will anyone new be joining us? I'm not exactly sure how to answer the first question, and the 2nd question is ABSOLUTELY. Let this serve as our official announcement that we will be aggressively recruiting road racers to our team in the coming weeks. All are encouraged to inquire, regardless of category, men and women, juniors and masters. M1 Racing is going to be populated with a large cross section of New England racers in 2011. If you are unhappy with your current club or team, we encourage you to reach out to us. I can be reached at: murat@weebike.com
Thanks.
Thanks.

Franz Wright
The old M1 Racing uniforms have a quotation on the back of the collar, by a Pulitzer prize winner whose work opened my eyes to some things, during a period when my father was in chemo, radiation, fighting lung cancer.
I'm saddened to report to you that Franz himself announced that he has been diagnosed with lung cancer this past week. He's a distant FB friend to me and he does not know that an elite New England bike race team has ridden tens of 1000s of miles carrying his words and his name: "We are created by being destroyed" -Franz Wright "The Letter"
I know that some of you might be saying to yourselves Franz who?? If your interest is piqued, here is the program in which I discovered him:
"The Letter" is read beginning at about 7:00.
I'd like to take one of the last remaining M1 jerseys and have everyone on the team sign it for him.
Thanks.
